I have remained vigilant about indoor air quality

A couple days ago, I was chatting with my mom on a video call, and I noticed that she had a face mask hanging from her ear as she had just gotten back from the store. I didn’t realize that she was still wearing a face mask in public spaces. These days, I barely see face masks when I am out in public and with the COVID-19 mandates coming to an end, I assume that wearing a face mask will eventually go away. Although I no longer wear a face mask in public spaces, I am still concerned about the air quality for indoor spaces. Some places have upgraded their HVAC systems to include air purification systems. It is in those places that I feel the most comfortable breathing in the air. A couple years ago, indoor air quality was a huge deal, but now that the pandemic is over and the mandates are going away, people are less concerned about the air that they are breathing in. For me, indoor air quality is still on my radar. In fact, when I go to restaurants, I still prefer to sit outside where I know that I am breathing in fresh air. Also, when I am at home, I make sure that my indoor air quality is optimal by changing my air filter and I also make sure that my HVAC unit is well maintained because it is responsible for the ventilation in my house. All in all, although I am no longer wearing masks, I am still very vigilant about indoor air quality, and I will always be regardless if there is a future pandemic or not.
