Tim, the Heating and Air Conditioning worker found mice

Tim worked as a heating and Air Conditioning tech that inspected Heating and Air Conditioning systems for over 26 years.

Tim was the best there was as all the problems were by him.

He got a call from a client who needed help with their a/c one afternoon. When Tim got to the house, the client was an uneasy wreck as she told him that her a/c has been making unusual noises. Tim knew he had a task to do and this was his specialty. When Tim opened the a/c unit he saw the issue straight away; the a/c had a mouse family living in it. The fleet of mice ran to the other side and jumped out to disappear into the basement. Tim wasted no time in clearing out the a/c from the remaining rodent infestation. The unit’s wiring had been chewed through, so he took out the bad wires and replaced them. He tried restarting the heating and cooling system, and just like that it started right back up. The client asked Tim how he got the Heating and Air Conditioning system to work so fast, although he said he has seen a lot over the last 26 years. In Tim’s experience, he has seen it all but never mice before. The client was a bit uneasy about mice so Tim recommended a pest control supplier that could take care of any remaining mice around. He said that if the issue isn’t resolved then it’s possible that the client will see Tim again sooner than they would like. Tim handed her the number and strongly pushed her to call pest control. All Tim knew is if she didn’t call them, he would see her again.

I can breathe with good indoor air quality

When I was younger, I lived in a nice village in the hills.

I frequently went hiking and explored the trails in the nearby mountains.

However, there was a catch, I suffered from drastic dust irritations that made it hard for me to breathe while outside! While out on a hike, it dawned on me that my dwelling desperately needed better ventilation. I suspected that the air quality in my home wasn’t that great. I knew I had to take action if I ever wanted to be able to unwind and take joy in being home, but after doing some research I decided it was time to invest in an air filter for my crib. Through my investigation, I found a local Heating and Air Conditioning supplier that specialized in the replacement and maintenance of media air cleaners. The heating and cooling supplier sent out a heating and Air Conditioning tech to my home to take a look. They recommended that I install a high-quality air filter to improve the indoor air quality and that this would help make sure that I remain healthy. The Heating and Air Conditioning tech installed a new air filter and after a short period of time, the air felt better and cleaner. I was breathing much better as well. I was so glad that I reached out to the Heating and Air Conditioning corp, and getting new air filters was the best thing I could do. I reached out to the heating and cooling company and thanked them so much and wanted to have them tell the worker how much I appreciated his service. For that, I will be eternally grateful for the Heating and Air Conditioning service that was provided because that made my life a little less stuffy at home.

The HVAC industry is projecting unprecedented growth

With all this talk about going green, there is legislation being approved to move forward with the green initiative.

At the beginning of this year, the current administration adjusted the SEER requirements for HVAC units.

SEER is an acronym for seasonal energy efficiency rating, and it basically measures the energy efficiency of an HVAC unit. The higher the SEER the better and more energy efficient the unit is. Moreover, the better the SEER rating the more savings we should see on our energy bills. Well, with the new legislation, the SEER rating was replaced with a SEER2 rating which means that all newly manufactured HVAC units will need to comply with the new SEER2 rating. Due to this new rating, HVAC units will need to be manufactured and assembled to meet the new specs. With this change comes new growth for the HVAC industry which is projected to reach $27 billion by 2030. Currently, the industry is trending around $19 billion. This unprecedented growth is due to an increase in demand for new HVAC equipment as well as the push by the government to get new energy efficient HVAC units inside our homes. If you’re into the stock market, this might be a good time to invest some money into a solid HVAC manufacturing company. This could be a lucrative investment that could yield some real benefits in less than 10 years. But I digress. I understand why the administration passed the new SEER2 regulations, but I don’t know if this would begin to fix any damages that were already caused. I guess time will tell.

I have remained vigilant about indoor air quality

A couple days ago, I was chatting with my mom on a video call, and I noticed that she had a face mask hanging from her ear as she had just gotten back from the store. I didn’t realize that she was still wearing a face mask in public spaces. These days, I barely see face masks when I am out in public and with the COVID-19 mandates coming to an end, I assume that wearing a face mask will eventually go away. Although I no longer wear a face mask in public spaces, I am still concerned about the air quality for indoor spaces. Some places have upgraded their HVAC systems to include air purification systems. It is in those places that I feel the most comfortable breathing in the air. A couple years ago, indoor air quality was a huge deal, but now that the pandemic is over and the mandates are going away, people are less concerned about the air that they are breathing in. For me, indoor air quality is still on my radar. In fact, when I go to restaurants, I still prefer to sit outside where I know that I am breathing in fresh air. Also, when I am at home, I make sure that my indoor air quality is optimal by changing my air filter and I also make sure that my HVAC unit is well maintained because it is responsible for the ventilation in my house. All in all, although I am no longer wearing masks, I am still very vigilant about indoor air quality, and I will always be regardless if there is a future pandemic or not.

Smart thermostat has me amped about Summer

My wife overheard me telling the neighbor that I was actually excited for Summer.

When I walked inside, I was asked to repeat my sentiments about the approaching Summer so she could hear it and maybe even tape it.

I deserved that one. Indeed, I’ve been the winiest and most air conditioning needy of all of us since we moved to the south. And I mean, we moved way south. Like, I broke out the space heater several times this Winter just to keep my streak of not turning on the heat pump during the Winter alive. It’s that far south and with this sort of latitude comes with it a whole bunch of high temperatures and equally high humidity levels. Of course, I was completely overwhelmed by the heat of the Summer. The first couple, I could only go from air conditioning to air conditioning. Just the time getting to and from the car was unbearable. But the huge costs of cooling the house because of my heat aversion was killing our finances. So I had to start working on both acclimating to the climate down here in the Summer and easing up on the thermostat settings. I’ve gotten off to a great start so far. I’ve been relatively light handed with the cooling all Spring to get more accustomed to the heat. And I had the HVAC professionals come out to install a smart thermostat. This new HVAC technology will be sure to keep us comfortable without going overboard with air conditioning or cooling an empty house. So yea, I am excited for the Summer and for sure, I’d be willing to have that statement recorded.

Heat pump spied by HOA

So I’m not exactly buddies with the HOA board right now.

And really, I didn’t even pay attention to the HOA prior to this strange set of circumstances revolving around my HVAC unit.

Yea, I knew that there were HOA rules and all that. There had been in the other planned community that we had lived in before we bought this place. Actually, this place was a steal comparatively because we were willing to replace the HVAC equipment. Still, I really didn’t pay any mind to the HOA meetings or anything like that. Ironically, it’s that really awesome residential HVAC system that has brought the HOA board onto my radar. And all because of a windstorm. Prior to the windstorm, we had a fence surrounding our backyard that came all the way up one side of the house. This fence also screened the HVAC equipment which I now know is a big deal for the HOA. Why having my HVAC equipment exposed for a month or so is such a big deal, I don’t know. But like everyone else who took damage from that storm, I going through the process with the insurance company. It takes some time. But the HOA is threatening me with ridiculous fines and even litigation if I don’t build the fence back prior to getting the check from the insurance company. I mean, we’re talking a matter of some weeks! So now, I’m going to have to get it on with the HOA and get all fired up about that. This is not something I particularly will enjoy. I know for sure they aren’t going to enjoy starting this stupid situation. And all of this over the fact that someone can lay eyes on my HVAC equipment.
