The air conditioner tune up was good for two reasons this year. Of course, the first reason the air conditioner tune up was good is that Heating and A/C maintenance maximizes the efficiency of the heat pump. And I’m all about getting the most out of the heat pump for the Summer. This is the time of year that my associate and I all dread the most when you call this region home. The winter is awesome and my associate and I hardly even need any heating. Actually, we’ve gone to just chopping out a space furnace most times when it’s a bit chilly on a winter afternoon. The heat pump stays pretty quiet that time of year so I’m not spending a bunch of cash on heating. That’s good but that doesn’t mean that I just let the Heating and A/C go silly all Summer either. So getting the most from our heat pump is constantly a good thing. But the other good thing about this Springtime’s Heating and A/C maintenance appointment was what I learned from the Heating and A/C professional. I had been under the impression that if you wanted zone controlled Heating and A/C, you pretty much had to replace the residential Heating and A/C equipment. That’s not the case at all as I was to learn. Our heat pump is not quite 10 years old. But my associate and I have really been wanting the zone controlled Heating and A/C. It seems that every member of our family has a weird air conditioner need during the Summer. When the Heating and A/C professional told me that they can retro fit our existing Heating and A/C unit for zone controlled Heating and A/C, I was all about it. And now, my associate and I are enjoying the zone controlled Heating and A/C this Summer. Actually, this new deal also helps me customize the air conditioner so I’m not over cooling locations in the condo that aren’t used all that much.
