No smells of food cooking because of a fancy air purification system

I visited with a friend, and the house looked fancy from the exterior, but the interior was more than I thought it would be.

  • We found the host cooking, but there was no food smell.

I had to ask how that was possible, yet we could see the cooking happening. The host told us that beyond the smart HVAC system, they also had an additional kitchen air purification system that handled the extra humidity and the kitchen smells. The home was spacious, and the indoor air quality was flawless, unlike my apartment, where all the clothes smelled like whatever I was cooking. Our host also explained that they used the home service program offered by the HVAC equipment company to get an HVAC technician to service the equipment to ensure it never fails. The experience opened me up to trying similar changes to my house, including calling the HVAC professional to recommend air purification help for my home. The first thing the exert changed was the air filter after doing extensive duct cleaning to eliminate the trapped dirt and debris. I could install a whole home air purification system and take a simple portable air purification unit, but I opted for the entire home option. The air quality in my apartment was messed up, and the experience of visiting someone who had invested in keeping their house very comfortable challenged me to do better for my own space. My clothes in the bedroom no longer smell like food, but I am still not at the level where my house is fully free of food smells. When I finally build my forever home, I will be keen to ensure that the house gets such equipment installed.
