I have been unfortunate enough to live in apartments almost my entire life, but and I have hated every single second of it.
Apartment heating and cooling is inferior in every way, shape and form to central HVAC of the home. Especially if you have something like window air conditioning… What about central heating and cooling in apartments, you might wonder? Well, the difference is that you don’t have control over your own HVAC machine, the home owner does; So if you are having concerns with your heat and air conditioner device, you are completely dependent on someone else to take care of your issue with the HVAC system, and now depending on the home owner, periodically it can be ok, but other times it is pretty bad… I have had some home owners turn out to be great, and other ones? Not so much. I would be stuck in the intense heat, my cooling component is broken, and the home owner is not responding to my calls. Sometimes I would call a separate heat and air conditioner business to take care of the problem for me, and would you feel that the home owner complained about having an unregular cooling worker at my home? Utterly ridiculous, and only another reason why I couldn’t wait to transport out and into my own home so that way I could control my own HVAC system, but yes, being a homeowner is harder, but at least I am completely free to make my own decisions around my home.
