When my heater went out last winter it was the last thing I would have ever expected to have. All I know is that I had went to bed all warm and toasty. As comfortable as I could possibly be, however when I woke up to feeling was completely different. I woke up and I managed to throw the covers completely off of me in my sleep. The moment I was aware of the coldness touching my skin I felt my entire body I immediately reached for my covers only to see if they had fallen off the side of the bed or onto the floor. As soon as I sat up to pick them up off the floor I took a breath and I could see my breath! If it was so cold I guess my breath inside the house I knew something was very very wrong. The first thing I did was very quickly grabbed my jacket and put on a thicker pair of pants. Then I ran out into the living room to see what was going on with the thermostat. Obviously something wasn’t working perfect thermostat if I was this cold and my assumptions were correct. Because the moment that I got out into the living room and took a look at the thermostat I saw that it was saying that it was 60 degrees in the house! I couldn’t believe it I tried everything I could try to get my heater to work. I have a smart thermostat so I tried turning it on for my phone, I tried pressing the buttons on the thermostat manually, I tried turning it off and back on again and nothing that I tried worked. I was so upset my heater was busted! So I did what anybody would have to do in this situation and I called emergency HVAC services. When the heating and cooling guy arrived he told me that it was my thermostat that was actually broken and not my heater which gave me some relief. It’s much easier to replace the thermostat than it is replacing a heater.
Ready to upgrade the thermostat
After a long time of consideration I finally made up my mind that I’m ready to upgrade to another thermostat.
I’ve been hesitant and holding back for a long time because I’ve been comfortable and used to using the same thermostat.
I have to admit that I am a creature of habit and because of this when I’m used to using something a certain way I don’t respond to change, however change is just a part of life and I realize that I was going to have to get used to it at some point. This realization was becoming more and more apparent as I noticed that my current thermostat was starting to break down and give me issues more and more and I started to see that I was going to have to replace it sooner or later. After it broke down for the third time and I had a heating and AC guy come out and fix it I had decided enough was enough, I was not only going to get another thermostat but I was going to get a brand new one too. A better one, an upgraded one. I think I’m going to go and get a smart thermostat. What I love about programmable thermostats like smart thermostats is that they are very easy to control, and you can really set them to anything you want. I’m just going to use mine to tell my heating and cooling system to turn on when I’m home and turn off when I’m not at home. In the summer months I’ll have the AC on in the winter months. It’ll help me save some money and I’ll have a modern thermostat like everybody else. I have no issue having older things but when they start to break down it’s time to replace it.
Have you tried a ductless mini split AC
Have you ever tried to ductless mini split air conditioning system? If you haven’t I would highly suggest you give it a try.
If you’ve ever had a window air conditioning system or if you’re considering getting a window air conditioning system, I would recommend getting a ductless mini split air conditioning system instead.
The reason is is that I’m Douglas mini split air conditioning system is very similar to a window air conditioning system except air conditioning system is superior to a window AC. They are a little more expensive but they are better at cooling and they have more power. So if you’re looking for an air conditioning system that is a little bit better than a window air conditioning system, is powerful and can easily pull your home and is cheaper than getting a brand new central air conditioning has something I would recommend getting a ductless made with AC system for you. These are wonderful little air conditioning systems and I use a couple in my own home myself. I still use my central AC system of course but I use my ductless mini split I’m trying to save money or when I don’t feel like running the central AC system that day. I would suggest that you do more research into these units because there are a lot of benefits that they can offer you. I think that you would be surprised at how powerful they can be.
A fantastic new space heater
I’m so happy that I got a brand new space heater.
It seems like such a simple desire but I’ve been wanting a space heater for quite a long time.
This is because I mostly use my oil furnace to keep me warm and toasty in my home. However, sometimes I want a little bit more than my oil for us to keep me home. The reason I want a space heaters because of space heater is an excellent backup in case anything happens to my main oil furnace. This is very important for me because I live in a cold climate in the last thing I want is to go without heat in a cold climate. And cold climate like this if you go without heat you can actually be in serious danger of freezing and so it’s best to have multiple different ways to heat your home in case one fails you have a backup to fall back on. There are some people around here that are really lucky because they have not only their central heating system but they also have radiant heated flooring, and a space heater as well. It’s a lot of different heating systems but it works well. Well I don’t personally have a reading heated flooring system, I do have my oil furnace and my space heater and they do me just fine. My space heater is still almost brand new too, it’s only a year old. I haven’t had to use it very much and so it’s in great condition.
Staying warm with a space heater
If you ask me, one of the best ways to stay warm in the cold winter was apart from using your central heating system to use a space here.
You would be surprised at how much a space heater can offer for their small size.
I’ve known far too many people that tend to underestimate space heaters because they do not think that they can give them much heat because they are size, but size in this case really isn’t everything, there’s some very small space heaters out there that can really put out a large amount of heat. This is makes them a great alternative if you’re looking for something that can keep you warm during the winter but not looking to break to bank doing so. I think we all know that heating and air conditioning systems can be very expensive, and to buy an entire new central heating system could cost you potentially thousands of dollars. Why spend thousands of dollars if you don’t have to? Just use this instead, give space here and allow at the heat. You will be amazed at how much that he sprayed throughout your home. Now it’s true that a space heater will never be as good as a central heating system, a space heater can only heat one room at a time, but if you’re really cold one room is all you need. Also a space heater portable so you can take it with you room to room as needed.
It's time for the HVAC appointment already
I cannot believe how fast time has gone by.
It’s like I blinked and then all the sudden it was time for my heating and air conditioning appointment.
I remember when I scheduled that a month ago, now a month ago seems like forever ago. Anyways, the works I’m having done on my heating and a system isn’t anything special. It’s just some regular heating and air conditioning tune-ups. I have this done about every 6 months to my heating and cooling system because I do believe that having tune-ups to your heating and AC system is normally important but will keep your HVAC system in much better shape. I’ve had heating and air conditioning technicians tell me that you were heating and AC system will last much longer if it’s properly maintained and taken care of. It’s going to try to do my best to take good care of my heating and AC system by having the heating and cooling professionals come out here every 6 months to take a look at it, make sure they’re still performing as it should and do any necessary work on it. Another reason why I do this is because about 5 years ago I replaced my entire heating and AC system with the one I have now. The HVAC system that I have now is quite expensive and so if I wanted to spend that much money on a heating and AC system, you better bet that I’m going to have my tune ups and maintenance style on it to make sure that it stays in excellent working condition. I don’t want all that money to be for nothing.
