There will be no more Happy Birthday cards arriving from him for me in the mail, no cheesy Christmas gifts like panty hose or denture toothpaste for me, and no more laughter echoing in the rooms of his once lively home

Today is the 14th of June and in four afternoons yet another Father’s Day will slip by with no phone call to my dad, no card sent, nothing anymore because my dad was plucked out of my life two years ago and I have no one to tell how much I loved being their son. Just a grave to visit and weep above, as my dad is gone and my heart still feels an emptiness there where he once was. It is going to be difficult getting over him because I was overseas when he died doing heating and air conditioning repairs for the new company and I never got to say goodbye to him and hug him one last time, he was a heating rep for a local company and put all of his time and energy into fixing heating and air conditioning systems and trying to make the world a better place the way he knew how. There will be no more parties at his house, no more soccer matches to watch, no more fishing trips together. His heating and air conditioning company has been dissolved and his rental houses all sold, and now there is just a memory left of what was once a thriving heating and cooling corp in the city. There will be no more Happy Birthday cards arriving from him for me in the mail, no cheesy Christmas gifts like panty hose or denture toothpaste for me, and no more laughter echoing in the rooms of his once lively home. My heart is cooling down a bit with the loss of my heating and air conditioning rep dad, and I hope yours is around and I hope you tell him how much he means to you because you will regret not doing it.

I’m getting a bit ahead on my articles for the week because I am not playing tunes or athletic sports this week and have a free afternoon basically.

It is 6pm and I am sure there will be people on the beach playing ball, but the sunlight does not go down till close to 10pm nowadays, so I still have quite a bit of time to get out in the sun; It is pretty hot out now and I like to stay out of the intense sunlight most of the afternoon and save my skin from more wrinkles.

Cold air conditioner feels so nice when it is so hot out like it is this week, but summer time will be gone in an instant so I need to enjoy it even when it is heating up to near 100F. I will bring my little orange chair to the beach and watch a few games while I chill in the sand with an ice frosty beer possibly. I may see my cooling rep out there and maybe we can have a chat while cooling down with a frosty brew. It will be an early night for me as I plan on getting home by about 9pm latest, maybe even earlier, so that I can get to bed at a fine hour. I will turn on my mini split air conditioner equipment in my room about an hour before I go to bed so it is cooling down the room for me before I hit the hay. I certainly sleep well in a colder room and cherish my little air conditioner system.

I bleached my teeth this afternoon for an hour with those whitening strips and now my teeth feel naked. It feels like I had jackets on my teeth and now they have been removed on a frosty winter afternoon. It isn’t the nicest feeling in the world I can tell you, although I want to get some of the stains off so my smile doesn’t scare away dogs. I obtained some Sensodyne toothpaste at the store and am going to use it each afternoon while doing this bleaching thing to see if it stops the sensitivity. My heating and air conditioning rep told me that it will, so I am heeding her advice from yesterday when we were working on a heating system for a client. I have to wear these strips for two weeks and I know my teeth would drive me crazy if I didn’t use the toothpaste for this kind of pain. I couldn’t work on air conditioners all afternoon if my teeth were like this, let alone cleaning ductwork in an uncomfortably hot attic. So I suppose I will be better in a couple of afternoons once this toothpaste does its job and stops the sensitive feeling I have right now. And speaking of duct cleaning, my ductwork is going to need a large overhaul soon because the ducts are leaking in some spots and wasting the air that should be coming out of my vents. I need to get some of that tape from the store although I suppose I will do it later this week when my teeth are better.

I just got congested on Soundcloud for five days for following too many people, oops.

I’m just trying to get our sound out there and was following a lot of people but I guess I kind of overdid it.

My goal is not to get a million followers or anything like that, but more to get our music listened to to see if any of them are fantastic or not. So now I have to wait five afternoons before I can follow anyone else, which is fine with me because we got a fantastic chunk of followers coming in yearly. Heating up our place was my plan and at least we got some local business owners listening to the music so I know which ones are good. I will chill with the following once my block is removed and follow less people each morning. I just didn’t know the rules and periodically you have to break them to learn about them. I’ve broken rules as a heating and air conditioning worker many times and have also broken rules when I was working for the local business. My gramps used to call me a rebel and a maverick, which back after that I didn’t know what they meant, but I for sure know now. Gramps was a boiler salesman and worked a lot for this local business and then would come home to a trouble maker like me. I guess I’ve kind of been a rebel all my life for some reason, however it has given me some cool memories at least. Now this rebel is going to go clean his washable filter, see ya.

How many hours a day do you have to yourself? Online it says that two to five hours of free time a day is ideal for happiness.

Well, I have a lot more than five hours of free time each day, absolutely closer to seven or eight hours a day.

I fill that free time though with music and it doesn’t seem to bother me that I have so much of it, but maybe if I wasn’t playing beach ball or playing music in a band I would be bored with all the free time I have, but this heating and air conditioning tech is just fantastic with all of that free time. I need to get back on my workout routine though because I have been resting a lot in my free time. My heating corp keeps me active with the heating and air conditioning system repairs I do, but I need to get in some weight training each week or my muscles begin to deteriorate quickly. Lifting up heavy heating devices is fantastic for your muscles, but I haven’t had many to lift as I have been working a lot on smart temperature controls and small things like space heater repairs and things like that. So today I am going to begin my weight training program after I teach my yoga student later this afternoon in his climate controlled flat. It is a sunny morning and it will be a fantastic one for doing my workout routine on the beach later when it cools down. My heating and air conditioning rep associate will join me in the workout later and it should be fun.

I’ve absolutely put my process engineer skills to work with my lifestyle. I work just 15 hours a week and spend entirely little time cleaning the flat thanks to my robot helpers. I just cook supper a few times a week and freeze the leftovers and rotate what I eat each week so it doesn’t get monotonous. I bet I spend about five hours a week cooking, shopping, and cleaning the flat, which is fantastic because that means only 20 hours a week are spent doing things that are considered “work” to me. My heating and air conditioning tech job is absolutely light work because I no longer lift heavy heat pumps or air con systems and just do paperwork and inventory for the local business. The rest of my time is spent doing what I love, which is music and volleyball, and it is the type of lifestyle I’ve been longing for for a long time. My climate control system is running this afternoon for four hours while I do my work and chill with the cats. So I basically work three hours a morning on average, which means I have about 12 hours free to do as I please, which seems to be a fantastic balance for me. My heating and air conditioning business associate back in the States told me that his heating and air conditioning company keeps him absolutely scheduled and he only has an hour and a half of free time each morning. He spends a lot of time selling boilers at his local contracting business and when he gets home he is pretty much spent.
