The first days can be good or bad.

My first day of work was the best day of my life for two main reasons.

First, I had always wanted to work in this company, the most successful and popular HVAC business in the state. The second was that I would be doing my dream job. When I graduated from college, I looked for a job for almost a year. During this time, I would intern for free at different HVAC companies, and in the last three months of that year, I got a chance to intern at a local business. During my internship, I shadowed a great HVAC repairman in the industry. It allowed me to learn from the industry’s best. I had been networking vigorously with HVAC professionals from all over, and one of them managed to set up an interview for a junior HVAC provider position. I went for the interview a little nervous and was surprised when I got the job. I looked forward to working on quality HVAC systems. On my first day at the company, I met the rest of my colleagues and was assigned my first HVAC installation. My supervisor allowed me to handle HVAC maintenance and air filter replacement afterward. Both of these jobs went very well, and my supervisor was impressed. I met with a representative of one of the most popular HVAC brands, and he took me through how to use the new HVAC tech to help with indoor comfort for any customer. I had worked on many HVAC units and thermostats, but the thrill never left me. My favorite so far is working on a ductless heat pump.

This was going to be very exciting for me

I was so excited about the new equipment. I could not wait to use the application on my phone to reset the settings on the smart thermostat. The HVAC unit used new HVAC technology to help with indoor comfort. Everything was going smoothly because a friend had helped me narrow it down to one among several HVAC brands. The HVAC professional who came to calculate that heating and cooling loads sealed the deal on the quality HVAC that I had in mind. The rest now was up to the HVAC provider to handle the HVAC installation and everything about the ductless heat pump. This was the first time I had to get involved with the HVAC business. When I moved out of my parent’s house, I moved in with my now ex-husband, who worked at the local business as a cooling expert. I always keep the air filters the same. My father took care of such matters at my parent’s house, and then it was my husband. I moved in with him right after college. In truth, this was the first time in twenty-seven years I was living on my own. I always felt like I had missed a stage in life, and this was it. I was excited about this new chapter. Everything about Airbnb checked out. The location was beautiful. The quaint cottages were further apart; it felt like we were alone. When we got there, everything was just as the pictures portrayed. During our stay, I conversed with the lady I had talked to on the phone. She was a delight to be around. When the kids were out paddleboarding, she offered me a cold drink and told me about her days as an HVAC professional. She used to work for an HVAC provider and had encountered most HVAC brands in the HVAC business. She also told me she still had her tools and usually took care of the HVAC maintenance most of the time, but he called an HVAC repairman occasionally just in case she missed something. As the firstborn son, I shouldered most responsibilities after my father passed on.

I have two other siblings, and they are all in school.

It was becoming unbearable to be in a house with such high temperatures. I decided to visit an HVAC business to consult with an HVAC professional about whether I could get a quality HVAC within my budget. The HVAC provider showed me some HVAC brands, and I bought a ductless heat pump. The HVAC installation process took a whole day which was the standard time. That way, I could bring comfort to my family by buying a new unit. After my father left us, I promised to take care of my family and ensure they never lacked in any way. I had yet to meet most of my goals but was making strides in the right direction.

Two years ago, I was listening to a sustainability podcast, and they mentioned that we all needed to change our choices.

I had never thought of an HVAC unit contributing to sustainability, but the more I listened, the more I understood it had to do with energy use and the amount of carbon released. They suggested that everyone needed to start using a ductless heat pump and, if not, possibly install a smart thermostat to control the use and ensure they keep up with HVAC maintenance because it makes the HVAC installation work more efficient, and efficient equipment is good for the environment. I wish they had featured an HVAC professional in their talk, but it was only part of their conversation, and my curiosity had already been sparked. I needed to learn about the ductless yet quality HVAC option they had mentioned. I need to buy a new set of air filters for my unit at the local business, and I decided to ask the HVAC provider about heat pumps. The first flier I saw when I got in was advertising a heat pump, so I took it as a sign that I needed to know more because that flier reminded me about the questions I had purposed to ask the HVAC repairman once I got there. I got my answers and resolved to change to the more sustainable option in two years, which is due to happen this year. I have spoken with more people who have made the transition, and while I can no longer find the link to the podcast, they did impact my perception of air conditioning. I am looking forward to having more sustainable help with indoor comfort.

I have been looking for all ways to save money because my salary is still constant, but my bills and expenses keep rising.

My energy has had me thinking about switching off my HVAC unit until I am financially better. Still, the rising heat would not allow me, especially during summer, because I would need its help with indoor comfort. It’s among my basic needs. It might seem wild to think about switching off my HVAC installation. The last time I saw the local business HVAC provider, I shared my struggle with energy costs and how I was thinking about giving up my quality HVAC altogether. The HVAC professional told me that there were many ways to make my energy bills more manageable if I was willing to spend on the initial cost of installation. That is how I got to learn about the ductless heat pump. I may have found a long-term solution to my woes from everything the HVAC repairman told me about it and everything I have learned from my research. The HVAC business has several brands, so there is a lot to pick from, depending on my final budget. But that’s not why I am considering it. One, the installation would be easy because no ductwork would be needed. That made the decision simpler because I did not want an entire project happening in my house. The unit would also handle my heating and cooling needs and promised to save about 30% in energy costs, which is better than all the solutions I have. I’m still saving, but I am convinced I found a permanent solution.
